    No. You need protein, you dont need creatine supplement. Creatine is nothing near steroids. It fills the area around the muscle cells with water making you LOOK bigger. The reason bodybuilders use it is because it gives you a slight increase in muscle stamina. Meaning if you now put up 8 reps @ 200 lbs., with creatine you might be able to put up 10 reps @ 200 or 8 reps @ 210 etc… which leads to more strength to lift heavier weight which makes you bigger. The effect it has on muscle growth is maybe 95% less effective than steroids.

    Creatine is nothing like steroids, AT ALL. Creatine is found in muscle mass and gives you ATP (adrenaline), that is it. Creatine is found in the meats you eat each day and couldn’t be more natural. A normal person consumes about 1 gram of creatine daily through their food, but the supplement supplies you with an extra 3 grams. Taking creatine will improve your muscle mass a lot more than protein ever will, but it is not something that you choose over the other. It is good to take protein daily even with your creatine. I have been on creatine for a while now, I have read several reliable websites on it, and I have asked my pediatrician about it. It is very safe, and is very very different than steroids. Try creatine out for a workout session or two and see if you like it.
